Eric Liu, founder of J.Ping Custom Tailors, knew that he had a gift for tailoring by the age of 13 when he started to work for his uncle and mastering his skills. Eric Liu left China and moved to the United States in 2000 and in 2015 he opened his own business known as J.Ping Custom Tailors. Eric has worked in the fashion industry for over 25 years and accumulated rich experience as Sample Maker and Pattern Designer in various companies such as Narciso Rodriguez Co. and J. Mendel. In 2012, Eric successfully created the pattern for the top garment for the First Lady of the U.S., Michelle Obama, to attend the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony.
